Sony Xperia Go

by TGN

If you’re in the market for a low price android with decent specs then look no further. Sony Xperia Go is here.

The feature that stands out is the ability to be waterproof. From 1st hand experience I can tell you that it is one rugged phone, which unlike other waterproof phones, also looks good.

Don’t let the price fool you. Apart from offering multitouch, A2DP, Bluetooth 3.0, Xperia Go packs a 1Ghz Dual Core processor with 512 MB Ram and a microSDHC expansion slot (Up to 32Gb). Good enough to run any app or store your Mp3 collection for the road. The size and specs makes it ideal for the outdoor enthusiasts or for the butterfingers.

Pros:

  • Slim and light.
  • Waterproof, Dust proof and Scratch resistant.
  • Ability to record videos underwater.
  • 30 fps 720p rear camera.
  • Wet finger technology.

Cons

  • Battery life. (1305mAh)
  • 5 MP camera. Decent but could be better.
  • Screen Size: 3.5 inches (Yes it’s the same as the IPhone 4 and 4S but that doesn’t make it alright)
  • Still running Android 2.3(Upgradable to 4.0)
  • No front facing camera.

Verdict:

If you are an outdoors type of person then this is a must have. You can drop it, toss it or even play soccer with it and at the end of the day simply wash it and it would be (Almost) good as new.
