Sonos Playbar

Sonos Playbar

Sonos is one of the greatest things to happen to music in some time now. For those of you who dont know what Sonos is, you must check it out here.

Their latest is the Playbar. Personally Ive heard a few playbars but they never appealed to me due to their quality so I was spectacle before getting this one.  Boy was I wrong. As soon as I heard this I was amazed. The audio quality is simply remarkable to the extent that one has to hear it to believe it. It is a considerable upgrade over your TV’s speakers and not just that but it can replace your lounge stereo easily(Provided you get the optional wireless subwoofer).

The setup is simple. The easiest way to get it running is to just connect the Playbar to your TV’s optical audio output. By doing this, you’ll get digital sound through any source that would normally play through your TV .Theres only one optical wire which goes from the Playbar to your TV and thats it. Fire up you PC, Iphone or Android app and you’ll be able to stream music too from your computers library all wirelessly.  Once fully set-up, your TV and the Sonos Playbar can be fully controlled using an iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Each of the left, right and centre channels have two mid-range drivers and a tweeter, while the left/right tweeters are mounted on the edge of the bar which makes the sound as if its a 5.1 speaker system when in reality its a 3.0. Sonos can also wirelessly sync up with older Sonos products, such as Play speakers or Sub subwoofer allowing you to make a true 5.1 wireless surround sound system.

At $700 this is one of the expensive Playbars but for people looking for a minimal no fuss setup, this IS the way to go. Take my word for it you wont be disappointed. (Provided you get the Sub)
